RAISON D’ÊTRE – Reason or Justification for existence of SIDF
Social Impact Development Foundation a Not for profit organisation, established by Shri Rajiv Batra headquartered at New Delhi. The motive is to contribute the society through its special purpose vehicle (SPV) on social-enterprise-funding. The focus is to create and develop a social enterprise solutions with support from its partners across India . We extend our support to the local communities at remote locations in the non-accessible regions in our country. SIDF implements its activities on-ground with its partners, focuses on central activities i.e strategizing, operational planning, communications, fund-raising, project implementation, monitoring and evaluation. The foundation supports sustainable programs for women, children through education initiatives thus helping in creation of a sustainable society. Guided by the conviction that, for those able to provide it, such support is not a matter of generosity, it is a core responsibility.

Proposal:
Proposed Skill Development Center in North Eastern States
SIDF will provide skilled courses to 20,000 people in next five years; and will train around 2000 workers for companies employees who are facing skilled manpower crisis . We will also train and provide skill sets to their employees for short courses.
We will target students of high school and ITIs and provide in software skills and problem-solving techniques. This would help them in better job opportunities through vocational training and rural entrepreneurship program. Our courses would be innovative and have a “multiplier” effect / “ripple” effect in the skill development space, and are targeted at the sectors/ segments with huge unmet needs.
We are committed to delivering Skills Programmes for comprehensive growth for students in school, college students, and working professionals for career growth. Our Institute would ensure that after completion of training pass outs would be industry ready, providing them Sector Skills Councils (SSC) certification and assured placement linkages through our network of employers.
